INGEDIENTS EXPLAINED

Papain:is an enzyme found in papaya that can help remove dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. Papain is a common ingredient in exfoliating products (i.e. enzyme peeling masques) and can help improve skin texture and tone. It can also help with acne and blemishes by unclogging pores and removing damaged keratin. Papain’s anti-inflammatory properties can also soothe skin irritations. Papain works by breaking down dead skin cells without causing cell turnover like acids can. Because papain is naturally derived, enzyme products containing papain are generally gentler on the skin and less likely to cause irritation or redness.

L-Ascorbic Acid: (vitamin-c) impedes melanin production which fades hyperpigmentation and evens skintone. Hyperpigmentation [which also includes sunspots, age spots, red/dark purple spots from acne (Fitz I-II), and melasma] — occurs when melanin (all types) is overproduced in certain areas of the skin. It can also happen in areas where acne has healed. Ascorbic Acid (vitamin-C) inhibits melanogenesis by downregulating the activity of an enzyme called ‘tyrosinase’. Vitamin-C is widely used in dermatology for it’s many skin benefits, it’s mostly used to reduce hyperpigmentation on the skin. Vitamin-C is also used to treat gingival melanin hyperpigmentation (dark brown or black discoloration of the gums). Vitamin-C is also a water soluble acid (ascorbic acid) that will also lightly exfoliate the skin & cause peeling.

Mandelic Acid: whitens skin in two ways. It inhibits the melanin-producing enzyme tyrosinase to block pigment from forming and helps lift surface pigment through exfoliation. Its large molecular structure slows absorption into the skin, making it the gentlest of the AHAs. It also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to fight acne. Mandelic acid is a particularly good choice for skin of color or sensitive types because of its non-irritating activity.

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane): is a beauty ingredient with many anti-aging/ skin/ hair benefits. MSM causes skin whitening and is also a light penetration enhancer. MSM is an ingredient that compliments any skincare or haircare product. Tretinoin (retin-A) is an excellent skin exfoliator with many anti-aging/ skin/ hair benefits. Glycolic acid is an excellent exfoliator, it helps reverse sun damage, fade acne blemishes / scars, anti-aging, and fades dark skin patches. TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) at this low dose won’t go deep, but will give your skin a good peel with sheets of dead skin peeling like plastic wrap.

USAGE

Apply this skin peel to clean dry skin. You may leave it on your skin without rinsing/washing it off. If if this peel starts to burn/sting/tingles due to skin being previously raw or unknown paper cuts, you may rinse/wash your skin after 30 mins. Your skin will began to flake & peel after about 4 days, lighter skin will be revealed underneath the peeling dead flakes of skin. This skin peel can also be diluted with aloe vera leaf gel to produce a lighter peel.
