TRANEXAMIC ACID 20% CREAM

This Tranexamic Acid 20% cream contains Niacinamide for the best skin whitening results. This skin whitening Tranexamic Acid 20% cream will cause very little to no exfoliation (cause peeling) therefore you’ll need to exfoliate your skin with Tretinoin Gel 0.10% or Saliclear in order to see results, as with ALL skin whiteners/bleaching products. Exfoliation causes better penetration of this Tranexamic Acid 20% cream (all skin whiteners in general), resulting in better and faster skin lightening & darkspot/melasma removal results. Tranexamic Acid 20% cream is great for all skin types FITZ I-VI.

HOW TO USE THIS CREAM
This product is very strong, therefore you need to initially dilute this product before using it full-strength, until your skin becomes acclimated, to prevent irritation. The same way you would use my other strong skin bleach/whiteners Pour a dime sized drop in the palm of your hand then a dime sized drop of regular body lotion on top of the TXA cream. Rub your hands together to mix, then apply to your face. Apply this cream once daily, preferably in the evening, after cleansing your skin and before applying any moisturizers or lotion. You can increase to twice daily after a week. After that you can tweak how much more of this TXA cream to mix with regular body lotion/moisturizer, after about 3 weeks of diluting you should be able to use this TXA cream at full-strength once daily. It’s essential to use sunscreen daily when using this TXA cream (as with any skin lightening or skin peel) to protect against UV rays and to prevent further hyperpigmentation.

NOTE: Tranexamic Acid is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, but this cream contains Citric Acid (stabilizer/anti-oxidant/light exfoliant), therefore shouldn’t be used on broken/raw/traumatized skin because it will sting. This Tranexamic Acid 20% cream is a stronger version than any other TXA product on the market, therefore you need to start diluting this Tranexamic Acid 20% cream for the first week, then gradually increase dosage until your skin becomes acclimated to it, to prevent irritation. This Tranexamic Acid 20% cream is very potent and is intended for addressing more severe pigmentation issues like melasma and stubborn dark spots/red spots/freckles. This higher concentration offers faster and more noticeable results but can also be harsher on the skin, so it’s important to monitor skin irritation and adjust usage if any reactions occur. It’s important to start with lower concentrations of tranexamic acid if you have sensitive skin, or if you’re new to this ingredient. Incorporating it into your daily routine gradually can help your skin adjust gradually, reducing the risk of irritation.

WHAT IS TRANEXAMIC ACID?

Tranexamic acid (TXA) is a skincare ingredient known for its ability to reduce hyperpigmentation, like dark spots and melasma, by interfering with melanin production and reducing inflammation. It also helps minimize the appearance of redness, which is beneficial for those with rosacea in FITZ I-II skin types, and also beneficial to prevent hyperpigmentation for FITZ III-VI skin types. TXA is generally well-tolerated and safe for various skin types and skin tones, making it a popular choice for brightening and even skin tone when applied all over the area, rather than spot treating. Unlike other acids found in skincare products (glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, etc.), tranexamic acid does not exfoliate the epidermis but disrupts the excessive production of melanin, which causes hyperpigmentation. It inhibits UV-induced melanin synthesis by blocking the interaction between keratinocytes (skin cells) and melanocytes (melanin-producing cells). It specifically targets melasma of the epidermal type (or pregnancy mask), sun spots, the post-acne hyperpigmented marks (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, PIH), as well as pigmented dark circles around the eye.

BENEFITS
Reduces Melanin Production: TXA works by inhibiting an enzyme called tyrosinase, which is crucial in the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin color. By reducing tyrosinase activity, TXA helps prevent the formation of new dark spots and fades existing ones. TXA effectively reduces the appearance of dark spots, melasma, and other hyperpigmentation issues. By reducing melanin production, TXA helps to brighten and even out skin tone, creating a more radiant complexion.

Anti-inflammatory Properties: TXA also has anti-inflammatory effects, helping to reduce redness and inflammation in the skin, which can be particularly beneficial for post-breakout or post-injury redness. TXA’s anti-inflammatory properties help to calm irritated skin and minimize redness.

Minimize Redness: TXA can help reduce the appearance of redness and may be useful in minimizing the appearance of rosacea, according to Skin Laundry.

Safe for Most Skin Types: TXA is generally well-tolerated and safe for most skin types, including sensitive skin.

HISTORY
Tranexamic acid actually got its start as an oral medication to treat excessive bleeding. When patients came out of treatment with brighter, more even skin tone it was then used topically as a beauty/skincare ingredient. Incidentally, Tretinoin, Bimataprost, Salicylic Acid, and Temporary Sutures got their start the same way. They were all used to treat one thing but it was discovered that the side effects caused other positive cosmetic results. Tretinoin (retin-a) was used to successfully treat acne, but also resulted in smooth-tight skin & wrinkle reduction. Salicylic Acid (active ingredient in asprin) used to treat pain and blood clots, but if applied topically exfoliates dead skin/treats acne/wrinkle reduction. Bimatoprost (Latisse, Generic -Latisse) use to treat glaucoma, but side effects were longer/thicker/darker eyelashes eyebrows & hair. Temporary/melt away sutures used to suture superficial wounds with less scaring, resulted in the surrounding skin being more youthful and tight due increased collagen production. Hence the popularity of PDO/PCL/PLLA threads for anti-aging skin tightening & lifting.

OTHER ACTIVES IN THIS PRODUCT

• Niacinamide: I have added niacinamide to this cream to increase the efficacy of the Tranexamic Acid. Is a form of Vitamin-B3 (an amide) called nicotinamide (also known as niacinamide). Nicotinamide is an essential water-soluble vitamin, which is not synthesized in the body, meaning we have to eat it or apply it topically to receive its benefits. This single skincare ingredient could treat virtually ALL of your skin concerns. Niacinamide reduces melanin production from 35%-68% within 4 weeks!
