Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (THDA) Chart

CUSTOMIZED ANTI-AGING SKIN BLEACHING

I have combined some of the most powerful skin bleaching agents with Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate to formulate very potent anti-aging skin bleaching/whitening serums. This is for individuals who want to whiten their skin, or remove hyperpigmentation, with the added benefit of an anti-aging treatment. These THDA serums will bleach/whiten/lighten skin, remove wrinkles & tighten loose skin.

Please use the chart above (and user photos) to help you decide which THDA Serum you desire for your goals. If you’ve bleached your entire body many shades whiter, and you only want to maintain your skintone but want to add anti-aging benefits, choose Tetra-CH 10% – 8 fl.oz and use once daily, 3 x’s per week. This will also work for newbies that want to whiten a few shades (full-body) w/ anti-aging-benefits. If you want to whiten your body many shades with semi-permanent results and w/ anti aging-benefits, you would choose Tetra-CHM 30% – 8 fl.oz. If you want a mild ready-to-use THDA serum that doesn’t need to be diluted, to use only on your face/neck, choose Tetra-C 5% – 4 fl.oz. If you want a concentrated THDA serum to mix/dilute with your other skincare products, choose Tetra-C 40% – 4 fl.oz. These are just a few examples to help you choose a THDA serum that’s best for you.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Just like skin whitening products, your skin must be exfoliated to see results from using anti-aging products. Yup! After the production of collagen occurs the skin tightens while the top “dead” layer does not. You must remove that dead top layer of skin to release hold of and reveal the new smooth tightened underlying skin. [Example: Put a piece of tape on a deflated balloon, then inflate the balloon with air. Observe. Now remove the tape without tearing the balloon]. These THDA serums contain Salicylic Acid 10% and Tretinoin 0.05% which will cause exfoliation, but you can still continue to use Tretinoin Gel 0.10% and Saliclear to further exfoliate your skin. The more you clear away dead skin, the more results you’ll see. No matter what strength THDA Serum you choose, still do a patch test, then start slow, then gradually increase dosage and usage -just as instructed with all my other skin whitening/bleaching products. The amount of THDA your skin can handle is increased with daily-weekly usage, like with increasing strengths of Tretinoin (retin-A) or Hydroquinone.

APPLICATION • MIXING • OIL CONTENT

You apply these THDA serums either directly, or you can dilute/mix them with organic herbal oils or other creams/lotions. Before you mix any of these THDA serums with other types of skincare products, you need to use these THDA serums alone, or dilute them with a plain herbal oil (i.e. sheanut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, etc.). I suggest doing this to ensure you don’t have a negative reaction to different products being mixed together. Although your other skincare products may be an expensive luxury brand (like Perricone MD) mixing them with a product new to you could cause an unwanted reaction. If so, you want to be able to figure out exactly which product or combination caused it. So I suggest using these THDA serums first to see how your skin reacts, after using them for a while you can try mixing them with your other skincare/anti-aging products.

If you’re diluting your THDA serum, pour the THDA serum in your hand then pour your oil of choice over it. Rub your hands together to mix, then apply to your skin. If you’re not diluting your THDA serum, apply directly to your skin. You can do this before or after applying any other skincare product. If you plan on applying a very heavy-waxy skincare product, although it’s oil-soluble, you may want to apply your THDA serum first.

Yes there is a small oil content in these THDA Serums, but these serums are light weight, have a non-oily feel, and fully absorb leaving no tacky residue -just like Saliclear. Your skin will have a light-minty like feeling due to the Carrot Seed Essential Oil content.

FYI: If you have oily skin, drying your skin out only causes it to produce more oil. If you suffer from acne don’t worry about ‘herbal oils’, it’s sweat and body oil/wax and what’s in both (toxins, etc.) that causes acne. Herbal oils are clean, contain only nutrients, anti-everything, and satisfy the skins moisture need to prevent over-production of oil. The essential oils added to these THDA serums contain skin whitening, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, healing, and rejuvenation properties. Essential oils are very concentrated and only require 1-3 drops per ounce of liquid/cream/butter/oil/conditioner/etc to produce effective results.

WHAT IS THDA?

Vitamin-C (L-ascorbic acid) is awesome, but it’s really highly unstable in it’s rawest form and gives cosmetics formulators (and customers) many headaches. To solve this problem, they came up with vitamin-C derivatives, and one of them is Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THDA) is a highly stable, oil-soluble superstar Vitamin-C ester derivative that penetrates the skin better than traditional L-ascorbic acid. Vitamin-C is such a big deal in skincare because of it’s anti-aging & skin whitening effects. Vitamin-C’s three magic properties (antioxidant, collagen booster, skin whitener) are all properly proven in-vivo (on real people)

Because THDA is oil-soluble, its skin penetration abilities are excellent. So great in fact, that it surpasses the penetration of pure vitamin-C (ascorbic acid) threefold at the same concentration and it penetrates successfully into the deeper layers of the skin (which is important to get any anti-aging results). There is also in-vitro data showing that THDA 100% converts to Ascorbic Acid in the skin. THDA has all three magic abilities of pure vitamin-C: it gives antioxidant protection from both UVB and UVA rays, it increases collagen synthesis (even more than AA) and it has a skin brightening effect by reducing melanogenesis by more than 80% in human melanoma cell cultures. Plus it, penetrates deeper than AA, it’s heat & light stable, and oil soluble!

Derivatives not only have to be absorbed into the skin but also have to be converted to pure vitamin-C (ascorbic acid or AA). Of all Vitamin-C derivatives, THDA is the only one that not only deeply penetrates the skin, but it is also, oil soluble, heat & light stable. THDA doesn’t need any penetration enhancers added, it can be mixed into heated formulations for lotions, and can be formulated with body butters/oils and still be very effective absorbing into the skin. THDA is widely considered one of the most effective and elegant vitamin-C derivatives on the market, offering superior stability and penetration compared to many other forms.

SKINCARE BENEFITS
Stability:
Unlike water-soluble L-ascorbic acid, THD ascorbate is less prone to oxidation, heat & light degradation. Meaning it won’t turn brown or lose potency.

Deep Penetration:
Being oil-soluble (lipophilic), it easily penetrates the skin’s lipid barrier to reach the dermis, where it converts to pure Vitamin C.

Anti-Aging & Collagen:
It promotes collagen synthesis and reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and tightens loose skin.

Skin Whitening:
It inhibits melanogenesis (pigment production) removing hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and clearing uneven skin tone.

Anti-Oxidant & UV Protection:
THDA Vitamin-C ester, an anti-oxidant which inhibits lipid peroxidation. Topical use mitigates the damaging effects of UV exposure.
