Mequinol is a synthetic derivative of hydroquinone (while hydroquinone is a derivative of arbutin) and is a depigmenting agent. Mequinol is much stronger than hydroquinone. Mequinol can competitively inhibit the formation of melanin precursors, if used in high doses. In other words, skin bleaching with Mequinol can cause semi-permanent whitening with continued use. Like hydroquinone, if you stop using Mequinol skin bleach your natural color will eventually return. But it would take much longer to return to your original skin color, than if you were just using hydroquinone skin bleach.

DEEP PENETRATING CREAM
This mequinol cream contains DMSO, a powerful organic penetration enhancer. DMSO has many skin benefits, but it is most known for its ability to penetrate deep into tissues and cause any active ingredients to do the same. DMSO increases the efficacy of this mequinol cream making it even more potent.

DMSO, or dimethyl sulfoxide, is derived from Pine trees as a byproduct of the paper manufacturing industry and was first isolated in the mid-1800s by a Russian chemist. It is also naturally found in garlic as one of the root’s 70+ sulfur compounds. DMSO is used topically to decrease pain and speed the healing of wounds, burns, and muscle and skeletal injuries. DMSO is also used topically to treat painful conditions such as headache, inflammation, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and severe facial pain called tic douloureux. It is used topically for eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, and problems with the retina; for foot conditions including bunions, calluses, and fungus on toenails; and for skin conditions including keloid scars and scleroderma. It is sometimes used topically to treat skin and tissue damage caused by chemotherapy when it leaks from the IV that is used to deliver it. DMSO is used either alone or in combination with a drug called idoxuridine to treat pain associated with shingles (herpes zoster infection).

SIDE EFFECTS
Please know that if you use Mequinol alone, skin whitening will not be even at first. Your skin will whiten in patches first, and it won’t be attractive. This is well known among high-dose Mequinol users. Fortunately, there’s a way to prevent this. The same way I’ve taught you to dilute your hydroquinone cream… You’ll be using that same method until you can start using your MEQ cream undiluted. Your HQ cream will be used in place of your plain body lotion. You’ll dilute your MEQ cream with your Hydroquinone 30% cream. This way you can avoid the “white patches”. Full detailed instructions comes with your Mequinol Cream.

WARNING
This is a very strong skin bleaching cream, this is not for beginners. If you’re new to skin bleaching please start using the hydroquinone 30% cream first and read ALL the information on the product page before you proceed. To give you an idea of how strong Mequinol is. Mequinol 2% cream is the equivalent to the strength of hydroquinone 3% cream, plus it’s whitening mechanism causes semi-permanent skin bleaching as explained above. Again, you’ll have to slowly acclimate your skin to Mequinol the same as you’ve done with your hydroquinone 30% cream.

ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS
This is a very strong skin bleaching cream that is going to cause a very dramatic change in your skin. Therefore I have included the below ingredients to make this cream as soothing and ‘skin friendly’ as possible.

Limonene is an organic compound naturally found in the oils of citrus fruits. These fruit include lemons, oranges, mandarins, limes, and grapefruit. Limonene has many uses, it is commonly added to numerous foods, drinks, perfumes, soaps, and chewing gum as a flavor and fragrance enhancer. Limonene is a natural solvent, and is very commonly used in natural/organic cleaning products. Limonene also has medical uses, it has been used to dissolve gallstones and reduce cancerous growth in both skin and breast. I used Limonene in this formulation due to its anti-inflammatory effects. When applied to the skin limonene reduces damage, inflammation, and rashes. Limonene also increases the production of new cells and blood vessels and improved skin healing after an injury. The blood vessels of diabetics tend to be narrower and harder with poorer circulation than those of non-diabetics, which prolongs wound healing time and inflammation. Limonene applied to the skin of diabetic skin reduced inflammation and wound size and formed new skin, speeding up wound healing.
