WHAT IS A DMSO EXTRACT?
This is an herbal extract that DMSO was used to extract the herbal constituents instead of using grain alcohol or glycerin (Glycerin is used for non-alcoholic extracts. They are weak extracts). DMSO penetrates deep and can pull anything mixed with it just ass deep into the tissues [Read more about DMSO below] A DMSO extract is much stronger and way more potent then your average herbal extract. You also don’t get that loud alcohol-smell you get with regular extracts because DMSO is odorless, so all you smell is the herbs. The only reason DMSO isn’t used in herbal extracts for ‘baking’, is because DMSO is very bitter tasting just like MSM powder (those of you that take MSM daily know what I mean!) DMSO extracts for skincare products are much more effective and give faster results.

WHAT IS HENNA?
Henna also called Mehendi (Lawsonia inermis), is an herb used for natural body tattoos & natural hair dye. There are many herbs used for this but mehendi is one of the oldest plants used for this purpose. Henna leaves have also been used since ancient times in North Africa and Asia for psychological and medicinal benefits, as well as for ornamentation. In traditional medicine, henna is known as an astringent, purgative, and abortifacient. Henna has anti-fungal properties, which make it beneficial for those with dandruff and hair-fall related issues, as well as other microbial problems. Henna also helps reduce premature graying of hair, because it’s loaded with tannins, which is a plant compound found in teas that contributes to their deep rich color. Henna contains vitamin E, which helps to soften hair. The natural leaves of the plant are rich in proteins and antioxidants that support hair health. In order to use henna, the leaves are ground into a fine powder, then mixed with lemon juice ,herbs, essential oils, and water to form a paste that is then applied to the hair or skin. Henna leaves a red stain on skin/hair if left to sit for a few hours. The higher the Lawsone content the more red your hair or henna tattoo will be. Henna is well-known for its hair dying properties, but henna can stimulate hair growth.

Henna For Hair Growth:
• Maintains Scalp Health
Henna has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It can be cooling for the scalp and help maintain scalp health. It inhibits the growth of Malassezia, fungi that cause dandruff.

• Balances Oil Production And pH Levels
Henna not only keeps issues like dandruff at bay but is also an excellent ingredient for balancing oil production and the pH of your scalp. It removes the excess oil from your hair and also restores the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands.

• Promotes Hair Growth And Reduces Hair Fall
A study showed that henna helped reduce hair loss. It also prevents split ends, reduces hair damage, and boosts scalp health. Boosted scalp health, unclogging of pores, and balanced pH levels can put a stop to hair loss and promote healthy hair growth.

• Repairs And Strengthens Hair
The nutrients in henna help nourish your hair while also repairing the damage. Research shows that henna reduces split ends, hair loss, and hair damage, making hair strong. It also helps prevent scabies and scalp acne, keeping the scalp clean.

• Conditions Hair
Henna is a conditioner that keeps hair moisturized while removing excess sebum. It can be especially beneficial when used in hair packs in combination with other hydrating ingredients. Henna helps minimize issues, such as hair breakage and split ends.

• Medicinal
Henna possesses a large range of beneficial properties. It has antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antiparasitic, antidermatophytic properties, anticancer, antiviral, wound healing, immunomodulatory, hepatoprotective, tuberculostatic, antifertility, and protein glycation inhibitor properties.

WHAT IS DMSO?
DMSO an excellent natural penetration enhancer, anti-inflammatory, and tissue healing agent. Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is an organic sulfur extracted from the wood in pine trees. DMSO has many uses as a prescription medicine and dietary supplement. DMSO can be taken by mouth, applied to the skin, or injected into the veins (or by IV). DMSO is commonly used in sports medicine to decrease pain, speed the healing of wounds, burns, muscle and skeletal injuries. DMSO is also used topically to treat painful conditions such as headache, inflammation, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and severe facial pain called tic douloureux. It is used topically for eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, and problems with the retina; for foot conditions including bunions, calluses, and fungus on toenails; and for skin conditions including keloid scars and scleroderma. DMSO is sometimes used topically to treat skin and tissue damage caused by chemotherapy when it leaks from the IV that is used to deliver it. DMSO is used either alone or in combination with a drug called idoxuridine to treat pain associated with shingles (herpes zoster infection). Intravenously, DMSO is used to lower abnormally high blood pressure in the brain. It is also given intravenously to treat bladder infections (interstitial cystitis) and chronic inflammatory bladder disease. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved certain DMSO products for placement inside the bladder to treat symptoms of chronic inflammatory bladder disease. DMSO is sometimes placed inside bile ducts with other medications to treat bile duct stones.
